Emily Cascarino
Facilitating Artist
Emily Cascarino is an actor, writer and social advocate and is thrilled to be working with Milk Crate. Emily operates across arts, health and tech industries to facilitate more progressive and meaningful wellbeing outcomes for all.
Emily is a graduate of ED5 International and studied psychology at Deakin University. She has since worked as a trauma-informed intervention specialist for refugee and migrant children in the Out of Home Care space at Settlement Services International. Alongside this, Emily works as the Content and Projects Coordinator for Hey Lemonade - a research-based wellbeing app with short pep talks that alleviate stress and motivate you through day-to-day challenges. Emily has also been Assistant Producer with the Hush Foundation, creating healing music in collaboration with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra and prolific artists such as Lior and Kate Miller-Heidke. Her research into the impact of music for hospitalised young people experiencing chronic pain, trauma and serious mental health issues has been published in the Psychology of Music Journal in 2021.
Emily has also worked consistently in theatre and film. Emily has played Nessarose in the Australasian tour of 'Wicked' (Gordon Frost Organisation), and was dance captain and swing in 'Jersey Boys' (Newtheatricals). She has also toured twice with 'Mamma Mia!' - in 2009 and again in 2023 (LWAA). Emily has also worked consistently with The Wiggles, recently covering Emma Wiggle on the 'Wiggle, Wiggle, Wiggle!' Tour. Her other credits include Glinda in 'Wicked' (Packemin Productions), Lorraine Hastings in 'Bells are Ringing' and Sue Harding in 'Applause', both for Neglected Musicals.
