Raise The Roof - A huge success!

On Monday the 21st May, Milk Crate Theatre launched its first ever scratch night, Raise The Roof. Presented at the Eternity Playhouse, in partnership with our friends at Darlinghurst Theatre Company, the event showcased the work of 8 members of the Milk Crate Theatre community.

Participants and artists came together to share their work with an audience of close to 70 people. The night comprised stand-up comedy, music, dance film and storytelling, allowing audience members to see a side of our performers that exists outside of our regular workshop program.

Some audience feedback included:

"Loved it! Good variety and format. So happy to see a scratch night in Sydney. Definitely more!"

"So brilliant, so generous and so entertaining! Thankyou to everyone involved."

Raise The Roof was made possible through the generous support of Darlinghurst Theatre Company, City of Sydney, Create NSW and Australia Council for the Arts.

If you were unable to make it to our first Raise The Roof, you'll have an opportunity to come to our next one on the 25th October. Stay posted for updates closer to the date!
